Brandie Shackelford is a PhD student in Environmental Health Sciences at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. She has a BS in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MSPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before Emory, Brandie taught high school science in Atlanta Public Schools for two years and worked for international organizations on water, sanitation, and hygiene programs for five years. Her primary research interest is identifying effective interventions to reduce child morbidity and mortality in low-income countries.
