Elham Amini is a pharmacist and clinical pharmacologist with diverse experiences in clinical, regulatory, and industry settings. In her current role as a Associate Director of Clinical Pharmacology at Gilead Sciences, she supports several Phase I, II, and III clinical trials in the antiviral therapeutic area (SARS-CoV-2 and RSV). Before this role, Dr. Amini practiced as a clinical pharmacist in inpatient and outpatient settings and gained experience as an ORISE fellow at the US FDA Office of Clinical Pharmacology. Given her clinical background, her research interests are clinical pharmacology, dose optimization, system pharmacology, and drug interactions. The overarching goal of her scientific endeavor is to improve patient care and access to medications through development of transformative therapeutics.
