Carlie Skellington, MD, is currently completing her first year of residency (PGY-2) in the Public Health & General Preventive Medicine Residency Program at Madigan Army Medical Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, WA. She studied medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. Prior to medical school, she earned a BS in Biology from Lehigh University and a MPH in Epidemiology from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. She is also a proud alum of the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant fellowship, during which she taught high school English for nine months in Palangka Raya, Indonesia. With strong interests in tropical medicine, international health, and humanitarian assistance, CPT Skellington aspires to pursue a long career in the U.S. Army as a preventive medicine physician with the ultimate goal to improve population health on both a local and global scale.
