My name is Judith Ratcliffe, MD, and I am a second-year Infectious Disease Fellow at NYU. I started my medical training at Albert Einstein COM in 2017, where I rotated at both Montefiore and Jacobi, caring for medically underserved populations and patients with advanced HIV. I also worked in clinical research examining patient outcomes from COVID19 in the earliest days of the pandemic. I transitioned to Columbia University for internal medicine residency, during which I cared for a diverse patient population in Washington Heights and conducted clinical research on HIV and sexual health. I am now a fellow at NYU, a diverse training program with clinical experience at NYU, Bellevue, and the Manhattan VA hospitals. I have my virology clinic at Bellevue and conduct clinical research primarily at Bellevue and NYU hospitals under the mentorship and guidance of ID attendings at each site.
My hope is to continue my career in the field of Infectious Diseases with a focus on HIV prevention and HIV treatment as well as general ID inpatient consultations. I greatly enjoy clinical research and the poster I am presenting reflects the need for continued efforts in HIV prevention. Throughout my training I have also enjoyed working within medical education and hope to continue as an attending.
