Talla Bitar, MD, is a research trainee in the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. Her work focuses on antimicrobial stewardship, aiming to optimize antibiotic use in children and support safe, effective, and responsible prescribing practices. Prior to her current role, Dr. Bitar earned her medical degree from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine as an international medical graduate.
Alongside her research, she is preparing for the medical board examinations while pursuing her goal of entering pediatric residency training. She is passionate about becoming a pediatrician and hopes to integrate her research background with clinical practice, particularly in infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship.
