Juan David Patiño-Mateus, MD, is a research assistant in the Infectious Diseases Department at Emory University. His work focuses on HIV prevention, telehealth and mobile interventions, and the development of artificial intelligence–driven tools to improve health outcomes in LGBTQ+ communities, particularly among Hispanic/Latino populations. Dr. Patiño-Mateus is currently completing his USMLE certification to apply for an Internal Medicine residency in the United States.
