Jill Argotsinger, PharmD, BCIDP is an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and the PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency Program Director at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Butler University in 2018 and completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency training at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA. Subsequently, she completed a PGY2 Infectious Diseases pharmacy residency at Advocate Lutheran in Park Ridge, IL. Dr. Argotsinger has been in her current role at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for the past 3 years as an Infectious Diseases Clinical Specialist where she provides clinical care for patients on the Infectious Diseases Consult services and contributes to the comprehensive Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) across the Advocate Health System. She works closely with the multidisciplinary ASP team comprised of ID pharmacists, ID physicians, microbiology leadership, and infection preventionists on various stewardship initiatives and contributes to the development of ASP guidelines and protocols to optimize antimicrobial use at the institutional and system level. Dr. Argotsinger is passionate about mentoring and fostering the education of future Infectious Diseases specialists and as such is involved in precepting pharmacy students, PGY1 residents, and PGY2 residents in critical care and infectious diseases. Dr. Argotsinger is a member of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (SIDP), the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) and the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID). Her primary research interests include rapid diagnostics and the impact on antimicrobial use and multi-drug resistant gram-negative infections.
