Dr. Kashmira Date is the Senior Director for Adult RSV and Pipeline Vaccines, Global Medical Affairs at Pfizer. She is a physician, epidemiologist, and global health leader with over 20 years of experience and leadership in the public and private sectors with clinical development/medical/scientific affairs in infectious diseases, vaccines, epidemiology, real-world evidence, pandemic preparedness, emergency response, global health security, women’s health, and health equity. Prior to her current role, she led the vaccines medical and scientific strategy at Johnson and Johnson and served as the Strategy and Operations Lead for a J & J Innovationpeogram. Dr. Date is an alumnus of CDC’s Flagship Epidemiology Fellowship – Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS), and led CDC’s new vaccine portfolio on typhoid, cholera, and other new vaccines for over a decade before joining the private sector. She has led several large-scale projects and initiatives with significant cross-functional and cross-organizational collaborations, authored/co-authored numerous publications and, participated as an expert contributor in multiple panel discussions and forums. She also served as the Chair - Vaccine Working Group, Global Taskforce on Cholera Control (3-year tenure) and represented CDC on numerous global experts working groups and scientific advisory committees. During 2020–2021, she led the Epidemiology Team on CDC’s International Taskforce, Covid-19 Response for over 6 months. She has won numerous awards including the “Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE)” by the Obama Administration, ‘Woman of the Year – Science”, Women in Technology (WIT) - 2022, and the top 50 Women Leaders of Georgia and Atlanta (2025). She is an argent advocate for gender parity in leadership, was nominated and selected for the inaugural cohort of the WomenLift Health Leadership journey and continues to lead women’s development/leadership efforts within her organization.
