Madhuri Kashyap, MD, is a pediatric physician with specialized training in critical care and a strong interest in antibiotic stewardship. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Miami, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, graduating in July 2025.
During her fellowship, Dr. Kashyap developed a focused interest in optimizing antibiotic use in critically ill children. Her work examined stewardship in the context of pediatric cardiac surgery, particularly in patients undergoing both primary and delayed chest closure, with an emphasis on improving antibiotic selection and duration of therapy.
In September 2025, Dr. Kashyap joined Banner Desert Medical Center, Mesa, AZ as a faculty physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department. In this role, she brings expertise in acute care, critical decision-making, and multidisciplinary collaboration to provide comprehensive care to children and their families. She is passionate about advancing safe, evidence-based practices in pediatric medicine, with a commitment to both patient care and system-level improvements that enhance outcomes.
