Dr. Lindsay Visnovsky, PhD, MS is a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Epidemiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Her research focuses on monitoring and improving patient safety, primarily around infection prevention and healthcare epidemiology in both acute care and skilled nursing settings. Her work also more broadly includes assessing patient safety impacts of infection control policies on the occurrence of adverse events, developing and validating electronic clinical quality measures for pneumonia diagnosis and treatment, and studying risk factors for transmission of multidrug-resistant organisms in healthcare settings.
