I am Laman Rahimli, MD, Research Associate at the University Hospital of Cologne (Uniklinik Köln) - CECAD Research Center, am a physician–scientist specializing in epidemiology and medical mycology. I graduated from the Faculty of Preventive Medicine at Azerbaijan Medical University and completed my residency in Epidemiology at the same institution. My research focuses on invasive fungal infections, COVID-19 on active hematooncology patients, and the interplay between treatment strategies and patient outcomes in invasive candidiasis and candidemia. I am actively involved in international research initiatives, including the FungiScope global registry on rare fungal infection, FungiScope Candida, FungiScope Candida Campaign, ECMM-EC and AReST.
