Angelina Davis, PharmD, MS, BCPS, BCIDP is a Liaison Clinical Pharmacist with the Duke Antimicrobial Stewardship Outreach Network (DASON), where she has spent more than a decade supporting over 20 member hospitals across Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida in advancing local antimicrobial stewardship programs. In this role, she provides expert consultation, educational initiatives, and data-driven guidance on program development, implementation, and sustainability.
Dr. Davis is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist with Added Qualifications in Infectious Diseases. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Master’s degree in Chemistry from Duke University. She previously served as an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, co-directing antimicrobial stewardship initiatives for Grady Health System and WellStar Health System in metropolitan Atlanta.
While at WellStar Cobb Hospital, Dr. Davis contributed to the pilot testing of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Institute for Healthcare Improvement (CDC/IHI) Driver Diagram and Change Package for Antibiotic Stewardship—a conceptual model outlining critical drivers to reduce inappropriate antibiotic utilization. This early stewardship work has shaped her enduring focus on practical, workflow-integrated strategies that improve antimicrobial use while minimizing additional manpower demands and reducing the risk of provider overwhelm or burnout. Over the years, she has continued to refine and apply these approaches, ensuring that stewardship interventions are both effective and sustainable in diverse hospital settings.
Dr. Davis continues to advance antimicrobial stewardship practice through her clinical work in community hospital settings, scholarly publications, and national speaking engagements. She also serves the state of Georgia as a member of both the Georgia HAI Advisory Committee and the Georgia Antibiotic Stewardship Subcommittee.
