Lauren S. Kang is a third-year medical student at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with concentration in Biochemistry from Washington University in St. Louis in 2022. Her primary research interest is HIV-related health disparities, specifically among LGBTQ+ people of color, and she has previously presented research in HIV at health equity and LGBTQ+ health conferences in Chicago and Ann Arbor. She is currently a national board member of both APAMSA (the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association) and MSDCI (Medical Students with Disability and Chronic Illness).
