I grew up in Toronto. I received my BA at Brown University and completed medical school at Tufts University. I completed my internal medicine residency at University of Maryland and worked for an additional two years as a hospitalist. Then I attended Duke University for Infectious Disease Fellowship with a focus on immunocompromised hosts. During this time I also completed a Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) fellowship and took classes to obtain a Clinical Research Training Certificate.
After completing fellowship I accepted a job at the University of North Carolina in infectious diseases within the immunocompromised host group. During my first year at UNC I completed the Clinical Trialist Training Program. My clinical focus is treatment of non-Tuberculosis mycobacterial (NTM) infections. In addition to managing our immunocompromised patients with NTM infections, I also work with the pulmonary team in UNC's bronchiectasis clinic and manage immunocompetent patients with NTM pulmonary infections. My research is focused on clinical trials involving immunocompromised patients and NTM clinical research.
