Dr. Dutta an associate professor in pediatric infectious diseases at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, and practices primarily at the Woodlands Campus of Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Dutta cares for children in both inpatient and outpatient setting treating a variety of pediatric infectious diseases. She is also involved with infection control and antimicrobial stewardship activities at the campus.
Dr. Dutta graduated from Kolkata Medical College, India. She completed her pediatric residency at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine in 2008 followed by fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases in 2011, at the same institution. She also completed her Master’s in Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2004.
She has had multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has written book chapters on a variety of topics related to pediatric infectious diseases. She has won numerous clinical awards at institution namely, the STAR award for clinical excellence, The Power of Professionalism award, and the Norton Rose Fulbright award for teaching excellence to name a few.
Dr. Dutta is passionate about medical education and teamwork. She has received educational grants to improve teamwork and communication among health care workers. She has presented numerous teamwork related workshops locally, nationally and internationally.
When she is not working, she loves spending her time reading, traveling and spending time with her family and her dogs.
