Dr. Latesha Elopre is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Disease at the Univer-sity of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She is an Associate Scientist and Clinical Core Director for the UAB Center for AIDS Research and serves as Assistant Dean for Access and Engage-ment for Resident and Fellow Experience. Dr. Elopre completed her medical degree at Universi-ty of Florida’s College of Medicine. She then completed Internal Medicine Residency and Infec-tious Diseases’ Fellowship training at UAB. During this time, she also received her Master of Science in Public Health in Applied Epidemiology. Her research has focused on how to improve HIV prevention among vulnerable populations facing high-levels of stigma.
