Dr Karen Bloch is a Professor in the Department of Medicine (infectious Diseases) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she serves as Associate Division Director for Clinical Affairs. Her research interests include tickborne infections and fungal infections of the central nervious system. She is a co-author of the IDSA Guidelines on the Mangement of Encephalitis and the International Encephalitis Consortium Consensus Statement on Diagnostic Criteria and Evaluation of Encephaltiis. She has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles, editorials, and chapters related to CNS infections.
