Dr. Chia-Yu Chiu is a transplant infectious disease specialist at the University of Colorado. He earned his medical degree from the National Defense Medical Center in Taiwan. Dr. Chiu completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center (Class 2021), followed by an infectious disease fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center (Class 2023), and a transplant infectious disease fellowship at Mayo Clinic (Class 2024). His research primarily focuses on viral hepatitis, and critical aspects of pre-transplant evaluation (viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, antibiotic allergy, fungal screening, and vaccine efficacy/compliance).
