Scott H. James, MD is Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He serves as Peds ID Fellowship Program Director and is Principal Investigator of an NIH-funded laboratory focused on antiviral screening and drug development. He is active in clinical research as Co-Investigator on several multicenter trials related to congenital and perinatal infections. Dr. James is a member of AOA, the Society for Pediatric Research, the APPD Subspecialty Investigators Network, the Council of Pediatric Subspecialties, and serves as Chair of the PIDS Workforce Development Committee.
