Kathleen Chiotos, MD, MSCE is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and an Attending Physician in Critical Care Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Dr. Chiotos' research focuses on optimizing antibiotic and diagnostic test stewardship in the PICU setting using implementation science methodology; the epidemiology of antibiotic resistant organisms; and comparative effectiveness research to define optimal treatment for common pediatric infections. She currently leads several research projects related to antibiotic use in sepsis and pneumonia, as well as the epidemiology of multi drug resistant organisms in medically complex children.
