Dr. Candice J. McNeil completed her infectious diseases fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine and worked in public health in the San Francisco Bay Area before joining the faculty at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Section on Infectious Diseases, and serves as Consultant Medical Director for the Guilford and Forsyth County Departments of Public Health in North Carolina, as well as Co-Medical Director of the CDC-funded Southeast STI and HIV Prevention Training Center. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Infectious Diseases, Dr. McNeil is a subject matter expert for the CDC STI Prevention Guidelines. Her clinical and research work is rooted in public health, with a focus on education, disease management, and prevention.
