Leah Hampson Yoke is an infectious disease physician assistant (PA-C) with a clinical appointment within the Department of Medicine, Division of Allergy and Infectious Disease as well as the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. She also serves in the MEDEX Training Program within the Department of Family Medicine. Her clinical roles include inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultations for the immunocompromised services at UW-Montlake and the Fred Hutch Cancer Center, as well as infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship. Leah has also published extensively about the role of APPs within the health care team, specifically within the infectious disease subspecialty, and has spoken on this topic at multiple national conferences.
Administratively, Leah serves UWMC as the Chief PA and is the interim co-director of Advanced Practice at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center, representing and supporting over 900 APPs across UW Medicine. She has served on system-wide committees, chaired workgroups, and helped form, build, and maintain clinical teams across the system. She was also the first APP to be nominated and elected to the UW Physicians Board of Trustees, continuing to highlight her role as a healthcare leader.
She serves on the Fred Hutch Executive Leadership Team, UW Advanced Practice Advisory Committee, UW and FHCC Credentialing Committee, the Medical Leadership Council, and the Medical Staff Advisory Council at UWMC.
