Dr Tan is a Transplant ID physician at the Singapore General Hospital, where he was the first Head of ID. He has been President of the TID section of The Transplantation Society (TTS) and is a member of the executive council of the Immunocompromised Host Society. as well as of the Asia Fungal Working Group. He is Clinicla Professor, Duke-NUS Medical School.
