Wesley Kufel, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCIDP, FCCP, FIDSA, earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Buffalo, N.Y., completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y., and completed a PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency at University of North Carolina Medical Center in Chapel Hill, N.C.
He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at SUNY Binghamton School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Binghamton, NY, Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and practices as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Infectious Diseases with the infectious diseases consultation service at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. 
He has presented multiple clinical infectious diseases topics at national and state conferences. His clinical practice and research interests include tick-borne infections, antimicrobial pharmaockinetics/pharmacodynamics, and antimicrobial resistance. He has published more than 75 peer-review publication with over 1200 citations. He was recognized as a Fellow of IDSA and Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy in 2025. He currently serves as a board member on the Central New York Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Alliance.
