Dr. Mojica is a Microbiologist, Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Universidad de Los Andes (Bogota, Colombia), with a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserved University. She works as a Senior Instructor at the Case VA Center for Antimicrobial Resistance and Epidemiology, for the Department of Molecular Biology and Microbiology, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, in Cleveland, OH. Her research focuses on antimicrobial resistance in Gram-negative bacteria, specifically β-lactam resistance in Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and Burkholderia cepacia complex.
