Dr. Susan Cu-Uvin is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Medicine at the Alperts School of Medicine, Brown University, Providence, RI.
She was the Director of the Brown Global Health Initiative for 15 years until 2024. She is currently the Director of the Providence/Boston Center for AIDS Research (CFAR). She continues to provide HIV care to patients with HIV at the Immunology Center, Miriam Hospital for the past 33 years. She is a member of several DHHS HIV panels including: the HIV Perintal Guidelines; The Adutl and Adolescent HIV Treatment Guidelines; and the HIV Opportunistic Infections Guidelines. She was the section leader for HPV section until 2024. She has been NIH funded since 1996 on care of HIV in women, female genital tract HIV shedding/ resistance, STIs, HPV infection, mucosal immunology, microbicides, and cervical cancer screening both domestically and internationally.
