Jared J. Eddy, MD, MPhil, MSc is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Mycobacterial and Respiratory Infections at National Jewish Health (NJH), where he primarily treats patients with mycobacterial disease but also other infections. He is Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and Infection Prevention Officer at NJH and director of infection prevention and control at St. Joseph Hospital, Denver. He received his primary medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He trained in internal medicine and infectious diseases at Boston Medical Center where he also completed a research fellowship focusing on various aspects of tuberculosis. He also holds an MPhil in Classics from the University of Cambridge, UK, where he studied tuberculosis in ancient Rome, as well as an MSc in Epidemiology from the Boston University School of Public Health. Dr. Eddy’s research interests include the history of infectious diseases, nontuberculous mycobacterial infections including extrapulmonary NTM, bronchiectasis, and tuberculosis.
