Zahra Kassamali Escobar PharmD, BCIDP is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy, and an Infectious Diseases Pharmacist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer in Seattle Washington. She serves as Co-Medical Director of the University of Washington  Center for Stewardship in Medicine which operates a Tele-Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (UW-TASP) that supports over 70 rural and critical access hospitals in the across the United States. Her expertise and experience is centered on building and expanding antimicrobial stewardship programs across a variety of institutions and patient care populations. Clinically, she supports infectious diseases care in hematology/oncology patients. She also collaborates with rural and critical access hospitals to creatively manage limited resources, and improve patient care through education and implementation of quality improvement.
