Dr. Eunice Huang is a Professor and Executive Vice Chair for the Department of Pediatric Surgery as well as Vice Chair of Surgical Quality and Patient Safety for the Section of Surgical Sciences, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She is also the Associate Surgeon-in-Chief and Chief Surgical Quality and Innovations Officer at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. 
Dr. Huang’s research and clinical interests include outcomes research in pediatric surgery, especially around care of patients with complex Hirschsprung’s Disease or anorectal malformations and surgical quality improvement. She is triple boarded in General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and Clinical Informatics. Her work in surgical quality improvement focuses on areas in which technology can be leveraged to improve patient care.
Dr. Huang recently led Vanderbilt University Hospital through application for the focused Quality Verification Program designation in elective general surgery and colorectal surgery, receiving verification with no corrective actions. She continues to work diligently to optimize surgical care for all patients in the adult and pediatric hospitals at VUMC.
