Shashi Kapadia, MD is an infectious diseases and addiction medicine physician. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and of Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. He provides clinical care for patients with HIV, viral hepatitis, and general infectious diseases; and also attends on the addiction medicine consultation service. A native of Queens NY, Dr. Kapadia completed medical school and residency training at the New Jersey Medical School in Newark NJ. He then went on to complete a fellowship in infectious diseases and a residency in public health and preventive medicine, both at Weill Cornell. His clinical and research efforts are focused on high-quality and equitable treatment for people with hepatitis C, HIV, and substance use disorders. He has published research to develop and evaluate innovative, patient-centered care delivery models for these conditions.
