He has led multiple epidemiologic analyses in the IeDEA network, demonstrating the rising burden of obesity among PWH and factors affecting weight gain on antiretroviral therapy, as well as clinical trials in the Advancing Clinical Therapeutics Globally (ACTG) network. In addition to research, Dr. Koethe a strong commitment to the career development of early-stage investigators as the Director of a K12 training program and as a mentor to 24 research trainees, several of whom are faculty at leading academic research institutions or in government health agencies.
