Vera P. Luther, MD, MS is an infectious diseases physician and professor of medicine at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. She is an educator, antimicrobial steward, and informatician. She is passionate about teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals and enjoys all aspects of health professions education. In addition to serving as the infectious diseases fellowship program director at Wake Forest, she also serves as the medical director for the Center for Antimicrobial Utilization, Stewardship, and Epidemiology (CAUSE). Her scholarly interests involve antimicrobial stewardship, medical education, informatics, and clinical decision making. She currently serves as Chair of the IDSA Training Program Director Community of Practice.
