Takahiro Matsuo, MD

Dr. Takahiro Matsuo (Taka) is a faculty member at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in infectious diseases with a clinical and research focus on musculoskeletal infections and infections in immunocompromised hosts. He completed four infectious diseases fellowships, including advanced training at the Mayo Clinic and MD Anderson. His academic interests include orthopedic infectious diseases, clinical mycology, and medical education.

He serves as a volunteer member of the IDSA Medical Education Community of Practice’s Teaching and Learning Resources group and leads 1-min ID consult on Twitter/X and Bluesky, aimed at promoting infectious diseases learning worldwide.
