Jessica Yager, MD, MPD, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of infectious Diseases of the Department of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. Dr. Yager completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and her fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington in Seattle; she joined the faculty of SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in 2012. Dr. Yager currently serves as the Medical Director of the STAR Program, overseeing clinical activities at the program’s Downstate and Brookdale Hospital Medical Center sites. Dr. Yager’s clinical and research efforts focus on increasing routine HIV and HCV testing and linkage to care; accessing care for individuals returning to the community following incarceration; and tobacco and substance use in people with HIV.
