John Grimes, an IMD survivor and advocate, will share his journey after contracting the disease as a college student. Though he survived the acute infection, John lives with permanent neurological complications, including vision loss and a neurogenic bladder. His story sheds light on the often invisible, lifelong challenges survivors face and the need for greater awareness and support. In John’s words, "Survival isn't the end of the journey, it's just the beginning."
