Dr. Nosanchuk is an infectious diseases physician-scientist, educator, and leader. He is Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and Microbiology & Immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Nosanchuk has had wide-ranging experience at the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), including chairing IDWeek 2021 and the Joint Research Awards Committee 2008-2010.He is currently a member of IDSA's committee on Inclusion, Diversity, Access, and Equity. He serves on the Board of Directors for the National Board of Medical Examiners Board and the Program Committee for the European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) Global. Dr. Nosanchuk is on the editorial boards of several journals, including IDSA's Journal of Infectious Diseases. He has published over 370 scientific papers. He has funding from the US NIH and Department of Defense. He is an elected fellow of the American Society for Clinical Investigation, American Academy of Microbiology, American College of Physicians, and Infectious Diseases Society of America. He received an honorary PhD from the University of Szeged, Hungary in 2022 for his work advancing collaborative international science, focusing on medical mycology.
