Dr. Abby Sung is a second year Infectious Diseases fellow at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) in St. Louis. She is dedicated to improving patient care through her interests in hospital epidemiology, medical education, and the history of medicine. Her current research is regarding the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and its implications for infection prevention. Dr. Sung is spending her second year training as Healthcare Epidemiologist and is directly involved in the WUSM Infection Prevention Team. She is also taking formal coursework focused on epidemiological research at WUSM. Dr. Sung is honing her skills as an educator by training in the certificate program for the WUSM Teaching Pathway. Dr. Sung will combine her clinical skills with her interest in hospital epidemiology and medical history to improve clinical care and outbreak response.
