Dr. Silvana Ellen Ribeiro Papp is a dedicated and accomplished physician with a diverse clinical and academic background spanning both Brazil and the United States. She is currently an Internal Medicine resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Harrisburg, where she also serves as a class representative and is actively involved in research using the TriNetX platform.
Dr. Papp earned her medical degree from the University of Santo Amaro (UNISA) in São Paulo, Brazil, and completed an initial Internal Medicine residency at Hospital Municipal Dr. Moysés Deutsch. Prior to transitioning to medicine, she earned a Bachelor and Licentiate in Nursing from the University of São Paulo and a postgraduate specialization in Intensive Care Nursing from Hospital Sírio-Libanês.
Her clinical experience is extensive, with prior roles as a physician in internal medicine, intensive care, emergency departments, and family medicine across major hospitals in São Paulo.
Dr. Papp is actively engaged in clinical research, with numerous abstracts submitted and accepted at prestigious national conferences such as AHA, CHEST, ANA, SOHO, and IDWeek. Her scholarly work spans cardiology, infectious diseases, hematology, neurology, and internal medicine. She has several peer-reviewed publications and has received awards for her research presentations, including the Provost’s Award at the 2025 Drexel Emerging Graduate Scholars Conference.
