I have practiced clinical infectious diseases for more than four decades and I previously received the Watanakunokorn Award given to the top clinician of the year by IDSA. I initiated the Antimicrobial Stewardship program at Stanford in 2012 where I continue to perform clinical duties as well. The program became the first WHO Collaborating Center for antimicrobial stewardship. We have created popular online learning modules related to antimicrobial use.
