University of Vermont
Burlington, Vermont, United States
I was born in Missouri but spent most of my life in South Dakota. When I was in middle school, I contracted the swine flu, and this is what initially piqued my interest in infectious diseases. Living through the COVID-19 pandemic solidified this interest and encouraged me to learn more about how infectious diseases continue to interact with us in a changing world. I completed medical school at University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine and completed residency at University of Vermont Medical Center. Currently, I am doing my fellowship at University of Nebraska Medical Center.
