My name is Lilian Fung and I am currently an infectious diseases fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I was born and raised in Southern California and attended UCLA as a microbiology, immunology, and an molecular genetics major as an undergraduate. This is where my interest in infectious diseases, specifically through my microbiology and parasitology courses, took root. I then moved to the east coast where I attended medical school in Virginia and fantastic ID faculty helped to continue foster my interests in ID. I am now back in Southern California, where I completed my residency at LAG/USC and currently completing my fellowship at my alma mater. My future professional plans are to pursue a clinical career in general infectious diseases.
