Brent Nelson, DO, Fellow of Pediatric Infectious Disease, University of Utah
Dr Nelson is board certified pediatrician, currently in training as a fellow of pediatric infectious disease at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital in SLC, UT. A native of Bountiful, UT, he earned his Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Weber State University and subsequently attended medical school at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, MO. After graduating from medical school, he completed his pediatric residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr Nelson is passionate about caring for children. His interests include congenital infections, zoonosis and medical microbiology. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 5 children. They enjoy activities such as camping, bike riding, playing soccer in the backyard and gardening.
