I am an infectious disease researcher and Epidemiologist by training, holding a degree in Social Science and an MPH in Epidemiology, with 16 years of dedicated public health research and implementation experience. My areas of specialization include infection prevention and control (IPC), and antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial Stewardship. I am skilled in effective program planning and policy formulation, with a proven track record in implementing large-scale WASH health programs and documenting best practices for knowledge management. My skills in designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating clinical and infection prevention and control related research and programs are robust and well-honed. My scientific acumen spans disease control, infection prevention and control, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), healthcare-associated infections, advanced statistical analysis (both quantitative and qualitative), community intervention, grant writing, project execution, and impactful scientific presentations. I am particularly proud of my leadership in four significant research projects as Principal Investigator (PI), focusing on critical areas such as infection prevention and control (IPC), antimicrobial resistance (AMR), healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), and surgical site infections (SSIs) surveillance. I have published 30+ articles in international peer-reviewed journals, including 11 as the first author, 9 as a senior author, and rest as a co-author, earning over 1,250 citations (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=rJKNKjgAAAAJ&hl=en). I have two lead-authored papers under review and two manuscripts currently being prepared for submission. I have had the privilege of presenting my research at numerous prestigious national and international conferences, including ASTMH, SHEA, IDWeek, ICEID, ISID, One Health, EID, FETP, GHS, Gender Summit, and GLOVAC that have enriched my knowledge in public health research and expanded my professional network significantly.
Additionally, since 2015, I have served as a part-time Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Health at Daffodil International University. I have supervised 18 MPH students, focusing on communicable diseases and AMR for their MPH dissertations.
