Dr. David Drysdale, DO, Capt MC USAF, is a third-year internal medicine resident with the 959th Medical Operations Squadron, currently pursuing fellowship training in infectious disease. His clinical interests span public health, tropical medicine, trauma-related infectious disease, and the intersection of military medicine and One Health—a framework that recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health.
Dr. Drysdale’s commitment to service and scholarship is shaped by his dual role as a military physician and a steward of global health equity. He is particularly drawn to the challenges of infectious disease in austere environments, and to the strategic role of public health in both combat readiness and humanitarian response. His work reflects a deep respect for interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based practice, and the ethical imperatives of medicine in conflict and crisis.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Drysdale finds balance through jogging and cherishing time with his wife and two young children—with a third on the way. He brings warmth, curiosity, and a sense of mission to every facet of his life, blending clinical rigor with a grounded, family-centered perspective.
