Dr. Jaggi completed her medical degree at the Ohio State University, after which she trained in pediatric residency at Loyola University and then completed pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at Northwestern University. Dr. Jaggi is currently a Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University and Medical director of Antimicrobial Stewardship at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She has been an active advocate to decrease greenhouse gas emissions in her local community, school district, and at the state level as a steering committee member with Georgia Clinicians for Climate Action. She sees parallels between the advances in antimicrobial stewardship and healthcare quality improvement that could be applied to decreasing emissions in healthcare settings. She has also worked with her hospital system’s administration to champion environmental sustainability practices. Dr. Jaggi has completed the Climate Health Organizing Fellows Program through the Center for Health Equity, Education and Advocacy/Cambridge Health alliance. She has spoken nationally about how to expand infectious diseases stewardship initiatives more comprehensive enironmental sustainability efforts.
