Brian M. Maas, PharmD is a Director in the Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics group at Merck Research Laboratories. He graduated from the University of Florida with his Doctor of Pharmacy. Brian then completed a pharmacometrics fellowship with the University of North Carolina and IQVIA. During his fellowship, Brian's research focused on pharmacokinetics of HIV antiretrovirals and mPBPK modeling of monoclonal antibodies. He completed an ORISE fellowship at Food and Drug Administration in the Office of Clinical Pharmacology where he published on corticosteroid use in children from the Childhood Asthma Management Program (CAMP). Since joining Merck in 2017, Brian has contributed to the development and/or approval or several antiviral, metabolic, and vaccine compounds. He specializes in HIV antiretrovirals, population PK modeling, model-based meta-analysis, and pediatric drug development.
