Juan Teran, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his medical training in Ecuador and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami/JFK Hospital and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Boston University. He completed an additional year of training in Infection Control, Hospital Epidemiology, and Antimicrobial Stewardship at Boston University/Boston VA. He currently serves as the medical director for the Nebraska Infection Control Assessment and Promotion Program (ICAP) and associate medical director for the Nebraska Antimicrobial Stewardship Assessment and Promotion Program (ASAP).
