Dr. Alexander Lawandi is an Infectious Diseases physician, Medical Microbiologist, and Critical Care specialist at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, Canada. He provides inpatient consultation services for both general infectious diseases as well as on the hematology-oncology-transplant infectious diseases services. He further attends in the medical-surgical intensive care units.
Dr. Lawandi’s research focuses on bacterial persistence and antibiotic tolerance in life-threatening infections. He uses shotgun and targeted proteomics to investigate how pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli adapt to antibiotic exposure.His translational work bridges clinical trials and molecular microbiology to link proteomic responses with patient outcomes.
