Thomas Lodise, Pharm.D., Ph.D., is a Professor at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), Albany, New York and is an infectious diseases clinical pharmacy specialist at the Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, New York. He also holds the distinction of being the first Rudolph and Dorothy Blythe Endowed Research Chair for Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at ACPHS. Integrating his dual interests in research and patient care, his research bridges pharmacometrics, clinical outcomes research, and applied epidemiology to improve the care for patients with AMR infections. The overarching goals of his research are four-fold: (1) develop personalized treatment strategies that improve patient-centered outcomes; (2) minimize drug-related toxicities; (3) reduce the emergence of AMR; and (4) improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery. He has published over 240 peer-reviewed articles in numerous medical and pharmacy journals. He is a scientific editor for Pharmacotherapy and Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy. He is an editorial board member for Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, Open Forum Infectious Diseases, and Antibiotics. He is the current PK lead for the Antibacterial Resistance Leadership Group (ARLG) (https://arlg.org), an initiative funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and is a member of the Executive Committee for the United States Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (USCAST; www.uscast.org). .
