Wajeeha Tariq is an infectious disease fellow at the Stanford University School of Medicine in the hospital epidemiology and infection prevention track. She completed her medical education at Aga Khan University in Pakistan. Due to her medical training experiences in a developing country and volunteering in underserved communities, her career interests include global health, infection prevention in underserved communities, and health equity. Currently, her research focuses on antimicrobial resistance surveillance in wastewater, assessing its effectiveness as a strategy for monitoring community and hospital-acquired infections.
